Romantic Estate Wedding / The Farm at High Shoals
Hosted at The Farm at High Shoals, Elizabeth and Bryan’s early spring wedding was a dream! The beautiful European-inspired venue was the perfect backdrop for their romantic estate wedding featuring timeless floral decorations. Keep reading to get inspired by the details from their neutral-colored nuptials in Atlanta!
The Details
The day began with our bride and groom in private rooms at the venue. While the boys relaxed, the girls popped a bottle of bubbly and enjoyed getting their hair and makeup done. Afterward, Elizabeth did a sweet first look with her father. Followed up with a super emotional first look with her soon to be husband! Elizabeth and Bryan wrote letters to each other which was such a sweet moment for them to read in private before the ceremony. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
She was the epitome of a modern bride in a strapless a-line wedding dress. It featured a sheer v-neckline and a bodice with boning, decorated with floral appliques. She paired it with a cathedral length veil and a timeless white and green bridal bouquet. Bryan looked dapper in a traditional black suit with a satin lapel. His boutonniere consisted of a single white bloom and fresh greenery. Their neutral wedding palette carried over to their wedding party, with the women in champagne bridesmaid dresses and the men dressed to match the groom.
The Ceremony
The pair hosted their ceremony at the main entrance of the estate, using the large wooden doors for a backdrop. They kept the ceremony decor to a minimum, allowing the venue to shine! Afterwards, I made full use of the venue and its surrounding gardens for photographs. The unique architecture made for stunning wedding portraits and gave off an almost fairytale-like vibe! From the Italian stone exterior to the detailed interior, with its luxurious design and antique furnishings. Check out that dreamy windswept veil shot!
The Reception
The reception took place in the rustic wedding barn, starring a mix of rustic charm and upscale touches. Here, their dinner tables were outfitted with white linens and gold accented servingware. Their centerpieces consisted of tall floral arrangements, greenery, and candles. Guests were greeted at the door by a champagne wall and a grass wall photo op! Following dinner, the two danced to a live band – Funk Brotherhood – and a cake cutting. Once the dance floor was thoroughly worn out, the two made their exit beneath the glow of sparklers! It was a joy to be a part of this lovely couple’s big day and I wish them all the best!
