There is something especially beautiful about an intimate wedding with your closest family and friends. And that’s exactly what Elina and Lal wanted for their small wedding in Snellville, Georgia. Keep reading to learn about this pair’s vibrant, multi-day wedding featuring both Indian and Western traditions.
The pair kicked the celebration off with a sunny engagement session at Lenora Park. We had plenty of paved paths and manicured lawns to choose from for their portraits. But the real star of the day was Elina in her vibrant red and silver lehenga. She complimented it with silver chandbalis, a matching choker, and Maang Tikka. Her hands were decorated with intricate Mehndi or henna. Lal looked handsome in a bright navy suit, paired with a bow tie to match his bride-to-be.
Following their portrait session, they retired to their private residence for a traditional Indian wedding and gifting ceremony. The home was decorated with white drapery, as were the tables. There was also an abundance of food, including the most delicious sweets!
For the second part of their celebration, the two hosted a Western wedding at the Opal Event Hall in Lawrenceville. Elina was dressed in the most beautiful fit and flare wedding dress with 3D appliques. It featured off-the-shoulder sleeves, a v-neckline, and a rhinestone sash at the waistline. She paired it with a cathedral-length veil and carried a pastel purple bouquet, which matched her bridesmaid dresses. Lal looked handsome in a classic black tuxedo with a bowtie!
The two said “I Do” beneath a round arbor covered in bright white florals, and participated in a unity candle ceremony. Guests were seated at round tables dressed in white linens with tall floral centerpieces. To be more comfortable for the reception, and so that she could dance, Elina changed into a simple sheath wedding dress.
Once the festivities had wrapped up, we took a trip to Alexander Park. The rain tried to hold us up, but we successfully captured their beautiful wedding portraits. The manicured grounds, sparkling lake, and pier made for a gorgeous natural backdrop. It was an honor to be a part of their pair’s multi-day wedding, especially one so rich in culture.
