Fall light, classic black suits, white flowers, and a donkey joining the newlywed portraits—Matt and Wynema’s Harvest and Haven wedding had so many moments worth sharing.

Their celebration in Talking Rock, Georgia, brought together a beautiful outdoor setting and time with the people they love. From the hugs on the porch before the ceremony to their first portraits as husband and wife, we loved capturing this day for them.

Harvest and Haven wedding

A Farm Wedding Venue in Talking Rock, Georgia

Harvest & Haven is a farm and orchard wedding venue in Talking Rock, nestled in North Georgia. The property combines countryside scenery with spaces for getting ready, an outdoor ceremony, and an indoor reception.

For Matt and Wynema’s wedding, the setting offered such a pretty mix of backgrounds. The porch’s white railings and hanging ferns framed the earlier portraits, while the dark exterior of the reception building gave the photos a completely different feel. Beyond the celebration spaces, the trees were beginning to show their fall color.

It all worked beautifully with their simple, classic wedding style.

Bridal Portraits and Time with Loved Ones

Wynema wore a lace wedding gown with a flowing train and veil, paired with a bouquet of white flowers and greenery. We photographed her on the covered porch, where the soft light highlighted the details of her dress.

Some of the sweetest photos from this part of the day were the ones with her loved ones. There were close hugs, big smiles, and moments of everyone gathering around her. The younger girls’ blue dresses added a lovely touch of color alongside the neutral outfits and greenery.

We made room for individual bridal portraits, too, including photographs with her veil and bouquet. Having that little pocket of time before the ceremony gave us a chance to capture both the details and the excitement.

Classic Black Wedding Attire

Matt wore a black tuxedo with a bow tie and white boutonniere, a timeless pairing with Wynema’s gown and flowers.

For his portraits and the group photos, we used both the porch and the dark building exterior. The black suits against the building created a clean, cohesive look, while portraits facing the trees brought in the softer colors of the landscape.

The gallery includes a mix of everyone looking at the camera and the laughter happening between those photos—both are such a valuable part of remembering who shared the day with you.

An Outdoor Ceremony with Fall Scenery

Matt and Wynema exchanged vows outdoors in front of a wooden cross decorated with white fabric and greenery. White flowers and lanterns complemented the ceremony space, with their guests seated close by.

The sunlit trees behind them brought a warm glow to the setting. Against that backdrop, the white florals, greenery, and black attire felt classic and beautifully suited to the season.

We photographed the ceremony from several perspectives to capture the setting, their expressions, and the people watching. Their first kiss and walk back down the aisle were especially joyful moments to document.

Newlywed Portraits—and a Donkey Appearance

After the ceremony, we photographed Matt and Wynema together around the property. With the formal part of the day behind them, there was room for close embraces, forehead kisses, and a little time to enjoy being married.

And then a donkey joined the photos.

These portraits are such a fun part of their wedding previews. Between the two of them leaning in for a kiss and stopping to pet their four-legged guest, there was plenty of laughter. We even captured a close-up of their wedding rings as they rested their hands on the donkey’s head.

Those unexpected moments give a wedding gallery so much personality. Alongside the classic portraits, they’re the photographs that bring you right back to how the day felt.

Photography for a Harvest and Haven Wedding

If you’re planning a wedding at Harvest and Haven, consider leaving time in your photography timeline for a few different areas of the property. Matt and Wynema’s previews show how much variety you can capture between the porch, ceremony space, building exterior, and surrounding greenery.

A prepared family photo list also helps keep group portraits moving smoothly. And if outdoor portraits are a priority, talk with your photographer about the ceremony time and available daylight, especially for a fall wedding.

A little planning creates room for the photographs you know you want—and the spontaneous moments you couldn’t have planned.
