What can I say… a coastal destination Wedding always has my heart! Luckily we had the opportunity to photograph Natalie and Tyler’s coastal Georgia wedding hosted at The Westin in Savannah. A resort and spa, it was the perfect backdrop for their elegant celebration. Keep reading to see the details from their day!
To kick off this romantic coastal destination wedding in Savannah, we started inside The Westin. Natalie was an on-trend bride, opting for a romantic A-line wedding dress. It featured a sheer deep V-neckline and a long train, and was covered in elegant lace appliques. She paired it with dainty jewelry and a knee-length veil. Her dreamy coastal-inspired floral bouquet made of dried blooms, including pampas, sea oats and bunny tails. It was a choice that complemented their modern resort wedding beautifully! Meanwhile, Tyler wore a dark gray suit with a champagne tie and matching handkerchief. He was pinned with dried florals to match his bride.
During bridesmaids photos I LOVE to capture champagne pops, although sometimes a little messy it’s so much fun for the bride and her girls. It also creates fun photos!
Natalie and Tyler chose to see each other for the first time down the aisle, which was very emotional and heart melting. The ceremony, leaning into the modern coastal feel, was hosted on the harbor at The Westin. We had the honor to capture the vows within the wedding highlight film which will tug at your heart string.
To capture that modern coastal feel, we made our way to the harbor for portraits. It was especially gorgeous at golden hour, with the sun reflecting off of the water and casting a warm glow on the newlyweds. It made for ultra-romantic up close shots of the Mr. and Mrs. Of course, while golden hour portraits are alway a winner in our books, so are coastal details. The large palms and modern hotels that dotted the pier made for equally stunning photo backdrops, as did the resort itself.
